Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of the DevJourney application and website. By buying or using DevJourney, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Who is responsible
DevJourney is provided by ARTUR KOT, a sole proprietor registered in Poland (the “Provider”), Tax ID (NIP): 5213984164, address: ul. Młodości 14/6, 05-825 Książenice, Poland. The Provider can be contacted at [email protected].
2. The service
DevJourney is a desktop application for Windows that teaches C# and .NET through an interactive course, including lessons, a built-in editor and step debugger, and an AI tutor. The application and its content may be updated, improved, or changed over time. Features described on the website reflect the product at the time of writing and may evolve.
3. Purchases and payment
DevJourney is sold as a one-time purchase — there is no recurring subscription. Payments are processed by the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd). When you make a purchase, Paddle is the seller of record, handles billing, and collects and remits any applicable taxes. Paddle’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment transaction.
Prices are shown on the website and may change at any time, but changes do not affect purchases already completed.
4. Licence to use DevJourney
Upon completing your purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to install and use DevJourney for your own learning. This licence does not transfer ownership of the software or its content to you.
You agree not to:
- copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the application or its course content;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where this is permitted by law;
- share, publish, or republish the course materials outside your personal use;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual property
The DevJourney application, its course content, text, code examples, designs, logos, and branding are owned by the Provider or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The “.NET” name is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation; DevJourney is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. Any code you write while using the application belongs to you.
6. AI tutor
DevJourney includes an AI tutor that generates explanations and guidance based on the prompts and code you submit. AI-generated responses may contain errors or inaccuracies and are provided for learning support only. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any code or advice before relying on it.
7. Refunds
Because purchases are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record, refund requests are processed in accordance with Paddle’s buyer terms and the refund policy. As a consumer in the EU, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal; however, by purchasing and immediately accessing digital content, you may be asked to acknowledge that you lose this right of withdrawal once download or access begins. To request a refund, contact [email protected] and help will be provided through the process.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
DevJourney is provided “as is” and “as available.” While every effort is made to keep the application accurate, reliable, and educational, it is not guaranteed that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet a specific learning outcome. Completing the course does not guarantee employment or certification.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of DevJourney. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Polish courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. When they are, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Your continued use of DevJourney after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
